The Garden Bench

She said that whilst admiring a rather unusual bench at the D&G pub in the Lake District. And so began my second career.

First job was to make a prototype out of old offcuts screwed together to see if I could design something that didn't fall over.

Next, to find a local source for some Oak. I'd never ventured much beyond Wickes or Champion Timber, but I knew that I needed something different to make a bench. Enter Surrey Timbers.

Pretty happy with the result, and so so comfortable at a really unusual angle.
